The flue gas desulfurization system is used for the function of thermal power plants, mainly to remove sulfides from the flue gas. There are two methods for desulfurization: one is to add an absorbent to coal, so that SO2 reacts during the combustion process to generate solid waste, which remains in fly ash. This desulfurization technology, also known as dry desulfurization, has an efficiency of no more than 80% and is now rarely used; Another method is to install an absorption tower after the dust collector, using alkaline liquid to wash and absorb SO2 in the flue gas, in order to achieve the goal of purifying the flue gas. This technology, also known as wet flue gas desulfurization, has a theoretical desulfurization rate of up to 99%.

Desulfurization tower refers to the core device of wet desulfurization. In the field of desulfurization, a desulfurization tower, also known as an absorption tower, as the name suggests, is a device that absorbs pollutants. Broadly speaking, a tower that undergoes reactions such as SO2 absorption within it.

The so-called industrial absorption tower, in simple terms, the fiberglass absorption tower used in industry is an industrial absorption tower, but not all absorption towers can be used in industry, especially absorption towers that do not meet industrial usage requirements cannot be used in industry. So only absorption towers that meet what requirements can be used in industry?

As an industrial fiberglass absorption tower, it can be used in industry. Firstly, the contact surface and time between gas and liquid inside the tower should be sufficient. Secondly, the disturbance in gas-liquid two-phase should be strong. Secondly, the industrial absorption tower should meet the requirements of simple operation, high operational stability, low resistance, low energy consumption, and easy maintenance. In addition, absorption towers used in industry also need to have certain mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.

1. Thermal power plants generally use cooling towers. After heating, water generates high-pressure gas to drive the turbine to generate electricity, while the remaining gas needs to be cooled. The working principle is as follows: the water on the cooling tower of the power plant is pumped up and evenly dispersed and dropped down through a water distributor.
